February 25th, 2004: Marvel's New Mutants will conclude this April with issue 13, but David and his friends aren't fading into obscurity. They will become the cast of New X-Men: Academy X, which will be written by New Mutants authors Nunzio DeFilippis & Christina Weir! How will David and his friends fare once Cyclops and Emma Frost take over the school? The only way to find out is to pick up May's New X-Men: Academy X #1! February 22nd, 2004: TNP has been updated with a new diary entry, a description of David's activities in New Mutants #9, as well as updated bios on the Alleynes, Laurie, Josh, and Sofia. Also added are bios and pictures of Rahne Sinclair, Surge, and Luna DePaula! February 11th, 2004: After a two and a half month delay, New Mutants #8 is now on sale at a comic store near you! In honor of this special occasion, there have been several updates on the site. First and foremost is David's Diary, which has been updated with an entry based off New Mutants #7. Second is the fact that David's Comic Appearances have been updated with information on New Mutants #8, but make sure you don't read that until after you've read the issue! Lastly there are new photos and descriptions on the Friends Page of David's parents, Laurie, Josh, Sofia, Julian, and Santo! February 7th, 2004: Good news, Prodigy Fans! New Mutants #8, which was due out in November, will hit stands this Wednesday! In honor of this blessed event, David's Journal will be updated that same day! January 18th, 2004: With 4 votes, David wins TNP's first-ever poll, which asked "Who is your favorite new New Mutant?" Now make sure to vote in January's poll, which asks, "On a scale of 1-5, how mad are you at Marvel for delaying New Mutants #8 so long?" January 14th, 2004: The second entry in David's diary was supposed to be published last Wednesday, but I completely forgot about it! Thankfully I have caught up this week, so you can now check out David's second and third entries now! The fourth entry will debut whenever New Mutants #8 goes on sale. December 31st, 2003: Happy New Year's Eve! To celebrate the last day of 2003, The Next Prodigy is debuting the first entry in David's diary! Make sure to check it out and to come back next Wednesday for the second entry! December 28th, 2003: Three new features have been added to the site, so make sure to check them out. First is the message board, where you can post your thoughts on anything comic book related; secondly is a FAQ page, where you can ask questions that I will personally answer; and lastly is the "Friends" page, with a brief description of every character David has encountered since his very first comic book appearance. Also make sure to check back this Wednesday for the debut of David's Diary! December 18th, 2003: Welcome to the grand opening of the internet's first David Alleyne FanSite, The Next Prodigy. This site will contain all the information you'll ever need to know about David, including the following: a brief biography on David, an explanation of his powers, and a description of every comic book he appears in. You can also vote in our monthly poll, send feedback, sign the guestbook, and even post your own thoughts about Prodigy that will appear right here on the front page! Also premiering on New Year's Eve will be a diary written by David, detailing his thoughts on everything that's been going on in his life. I really hope you enjoy the work I've put into this site and make sure to keep coming back.
